Blog 16 - A huge week ahead..
We are entering a massive week this week culminating in the running of our 8th annual Tropic Thunder Games Day. We are fast approaching a sell out of the event so it promises to be a massive day. We are very fortunate to have the support of many local and travelling CrossFitters and we are looking forward to putting on a great day. If you aren't keen on competing this year please don't let that stop you from coming down to support the participating teams or if you are super keen lending a hand with the running of the event.
The day will be catered by our very own Sally VJ and her sensational Feel Good Foodie Truck and GG and Damo Searles will be providing the all important coffee with the Coffee Tree. We thank those guys for putting their hands up to help us out and look forward to seeing what specials Sal has up her sleeve...
Don't forget the Saturday night of the Twins we are holding our CFTSV Social. Ticket sales for this have been a bit slow but we anticipate this is the week where everyone will get keen. Tickets are $50 and include a drink on arrival and dinner. Thanks to Kymbo for providing the venue, Born Wild, for our event. Don't forget that this night is not just about getting together and having a few drinks with great people but it doubles as a fundraiser for our CrossFit Games Masters Athlete Llew Wynn who will be heading to the US to contest the CrossFit Games 60+ age division.
Our current Fundamentals block heads into its second week this week so look out for this great crew to enter classes next week. We will be running another Bring a Friend Day towards the back end of this month so stay tuned for that to get one of your mates involved in our great program.
Boot campers will be relieved to hear that I will be back in action this week after a week with the Baydo the Beast. These guys are on a short 4 week block before getting a break through August. Boot camp will then crank back up in September with a big drive home towards the end of the year with 2 more 6 week blocks to be squeezed in the back half of the year. If you are looking for a great way to supplement your CrossFit and give your conditioning a big kick before summer then talk to one of our current Boot campers to get the low down on what it's all about.
