---- Athlete Spotlight November ----
This month we would like to introduce you to one of our newer recruits Tammy Haupt. Tammy is by no means new to CrossFit and although she is new to CFTSV, it seems as though she has always been apart of our community. She is a sucker for long, heavy, grinding workouts and since returning to training after having a baby last year, is always looking to work her weaknesses with no complaint in order to get better everyday.
Athlete: Tammy Haupt
Grew up where: Brandon
Occupation: Head of Department (Curriculum)
When did you first get started with us?
December 2016, I had a 2mth old bub and a long journey back strength and fitness wise.
Favourite WOD? Definitely Fight Gone Bad, Grace or Isabel.
Least Favourite WOD? Anything with more than 400m running in it.
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? Probably a dog in my own household, my 2 labradors run the house and guard my daughter like one if their own and are spoiled rotten.
What's the best thing about training at CFTSV? Definitely the coaching, no one is ever perfect at everything. Every coach points things out that I didn't even know I did and helps me correct it. I also love that they encourage me to push myself beyond what I believe I am ever capable of.
What are some of your other passions or hobbies outside of the CFTSV? Fishing, snorkelling, cake decorating and spending time with family & friends.
Please share with us your fondest CrossFit / CFTSV memory: Allstars - it was the first real opportunity for me to meet members outside if our 1hr training time. We truly have some amazing and inspiring people at CFTSV.
Thanks Tammy for letting us get to know you a little bit better.
