I am amazed that this space isn't full of taunts... I have been watching it closely after the call of how you think your team is going from #1 trainer.... So here it is I'm not scared..... The Bears! Well while being consistantly constant in performance I have thought in myself that there is an element of doubt speading like a cancer. Each looking to the next to do extrordinary and win the race.. when we should be looking to be that person that has the rest thinking that if it wasn't for them we would be stuffed.... I am making this promise to the Bears that I want to be that person and I'm hoping that I will not be standing alone as a leader and that we will stand together in triumph with the cup above our heads in glory and envy to all those who bow to our awesomeness ....

I too am surprised there hasn't been any comments so far Mick! I thought for sure Moff would have been the first to chime in and tell us all how well the beloved Dragons are going!!
It's sad you feel that way about the Bears because we Cobras on the other hand feel rock solid! Right from testing when EVERY member of the team went back to collect our last runner on the double block which earned us a comment something to the effect of "this is why I love the Cobras" from the above mentioned #1 trainer...
Another show of solid team spirit tonight with only one penalty I believe - Cobras are feeling very well prepared and with 25 days to go it can only get better from here! Keep up the work team and good luck with the prep to everyone else!

Inspirational stuff indeed, fortunately for the cobras we are as k2 says solid. We don't look for someone to take Charge because each and every member brings it every session pushing each other to the limit just to get one step closer to the cup! And when push comes to shove on December 3rd we won't leave anything in the tank or leave any cobra behind, because thats how we roll! STRIKE HARD, STRIKE FAST OR STRIKE OUT! COBRA FOR LIFE

It’s that time of the year again. Well here are the latest odds with 25 days to go.
Bears $1.10: A fit outfit with numbers. Solid performances throughout the year. They seem to always finish 2nd. This may be their year. A lot of new faces with some old members leaving the team after lucrative offers. They need to work as a team if they want to win. On paper this team should win by a Kirwan mile. FINAL THOUGHT – Probably the best value bet of the competition.

Lions $1.35: The new kids on the block and a real unknown. They may be lacking numbers but have several endurance and speed athletes amongst the group. Expect them to be consistent. This is a no nonsense team, that although probably won’t look as flash as the others will rip in and leave nothing in the tank. FINAL THOUGHT – Be weary of the Lions, they have been written off, down on numbers, but could just cause the upset of the year.

Dragons $1.40: They held the cup last year, but are lacking the numbers this year. Word is they don’t need the numbers because they’ve got quality. This team is full of the true old boot camp members. But with experience comes complacency, and there overconfident nature could cost them. You can’t be “game ready” just by rocking up for the last Block of boot camp. Watch out for their captain’s technical genius and strategy which has helped them in the past. FINAL THOUGHT – they look the part with heavy sponsorship but are past their prime.

Cobras $1.35: The sheer number and enthusiasm of their members may get this team home. They may surprise putters because this team knows how to work together. They will excel in team challenges and stay calm when the pressure starts to mount. Expect them to come out firing and willing to win at all costs. FINAL THOUGHT – They look the part but also talk a lot of shit and may have a chance if they lay of the piss. CFL, That is all because that’s how they roll.

Toads $1.20: It is hard to ignore the ‘Dark Horse’ of the games. They don’t train as a team but have pockets of excellence which may see them finish strong. This team will bring intensity and strength when required. Communication during events may be an issue for this team because they’ll be looking for a whiteboard to find out what to do. There are questions about whether they can handle the pressure. Depending on the number of events, they may have the stamina needed for the games if the team are on the Whole 30. FINAL THOUGHT - Should come close to winning if they can get the numbers and work as a team. The team to watch during tyre flips.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS THIS WILL BE A SENSATIONAL DAY!!!

There is no questioning the experience of the bootcamp teams when it comes to team events...but the toads can adapt quickly and show you what functional fitness is all about. I have a sneaky suspicion that the above author should come and try Crossfit for a bit and roll with the toads....we might just change your mind about fitness.

By the way, currently the toads are 30 members strong and there is still 3 and seem change weeks left until the big dance.

Great post "Sportingbet" seemingly unbiased, the odds seem quite reasonable - I'm tipping you actually have the insider knowledge because you may have even trained with at least 4 of the teams??? And Nugget the Cobras are the ones out there having a crack! Whether it be at Boot Camp, the CF Boxes, Fun Runs, Mad Cow.... you name it we show in numbers! If you could tear yourself away from your Mens Health mag for long enough maybe you'd see us round :)

Based on the Number 1 trainer's comments at recent sessions, I think the Dragons have it where it counts! Quote: "Best round Tug O War I have ever seen! Solid." and just this morning... "Best group by far on the ladder drills." Clearly focused and disciplined. It doesn't stop there, with the excitment and dedication and alot of shit talk from EVERY Dragon member (and bringing back the best shit talker of all, Jonesy) Dragons are sure to make it two in row!!

I see that the even the normally quiet are having thier say... Nugget please.. K2 is so right mens health has changed you man. I remember when you were a Bear and not a gun for corporate hire... It's all about your roots...! Dragons.. you know that it's Stricko's job to tell you that you are going good... Businesses are aways buttering up the corporate wallet...( sorry #1)... After Wednesdays sprint session and the effort that was shown by all the bears( except Scotchy faking the the old stomache cramp during abb session.. sad)... thought the Bears put it on and while penalties were incurred they were relished. We may never get to where the Cobra's are in team due to the transient nature of the Bears. We are a force that I think over the next 9 training days will gel into a lean mean bootcamping machine. I hope that all the bears have their team colours sorted to fly in the face of out competitors on the day that counts.

Hardy, yes thats right mate i have been a bear and a dragon so it was a big decision,but it all come down to that i hate loosing so DRAGONS it is.
