Crossfit Kids

If In the same manner as our adults classes, CrossFit Kids workouts consist of constantly varied, functional movements that deliver a fitness that is broad, inclusive, general and scaleable for any participant at any level.

We have 2 age brackets in our kids program 8-12 yrs (Pre-teens) and 13-17 yrs (Teens). We have divided our classes into the age groups that we have found over time to be the most suitable. We understand that some kids develop athletic skills faster than others, having said that our age groups are to be strictly adhered to. Our coaches are able to scale (up or down) our program accordingly so each child in the class has their classes matched to their ability.

What Does this mean?

This means that (for the most part) no two workouts are the same, so pre-teens and teens never get bored and the novelty of each workout keeps them excited about participating. The whole time the focus is on fun whilst slowly introducing functional movements.

For kids, these functional movements involve exercises that are fundamental to all things that kids need to do when they play; pull, push, run, throw, climb, lift and jump. All of the movements are taught safely and effectively under the close supervision of our CrossFit Kids Certified Trainers.

Booking in.

All our bookings are done online. If the child has their own smart device - download our app - search CF Townsville in App Store or Google Play. Create a profile using the child's information (and email address as this becomes their username). Once this is done, bookings can be made directly through the app.

If the child does not have their own smart device, you can use a computer. On our website landing page click the tile "sign in for classes online". This will take you over to our client management software; Mindbody Online. Create an account there (again in your child's name otherwise when you book for classes it will be your name - and we might make you participate ;) ) and you can book in for classes from there.
