CrossFit Townsville (CFTSV) is a community where effort is rewarded with results.
We have a team of qualified coaches who are solely concerned with helping our athletes reach new levels of excellence beyond what they ever thought would be possible.
In order to get our athletes fit, by this definition we schedule constantly varied daily workouts drawing on elements of powerlifting, olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and the traditional cardio disciplines (run, ride, row, skip, ski & swim) performed at the highest intensity relative to each persons ability whilst adhering to strict execution of movement standards.
The athletes we refer to are our clients and all are at different points on the fitness journey. Regardless of where someone is on their journey the daily workout can be modified to allow maximum inclusion. Our coaches are able to modify or scale each workout to the individual athletes need.
Our workouts will increase physical competence in 10 fitness domains: Cardiovascular and Respiratory Endurance, Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance, and Accuracy.
At CrossFit Townsville the mantra is "Get it right. Then hit it HARD". To that end, we strive for efficient mechanics consistently before eventually pursuing intensity.

What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a Strength and conditioning program that blurs the line between weighted movements and cardio. The aim of the design is to increase your "fitness" and by fitness we mean capacity across a whole range of different movements and time domains. Our mainstream program does not specialize but rather delivers a fitness regime that is, by design, broad, general and inclusive.
In order to get our athletes fit by this definition we schedule constantly varied daily work outs drawing on elements of weighted movements (that add load to the body using barbells, dumbells, kettlebells, sandbags etc), olympic weightlifting (cleans, jerks & snatches + other modified variations), gymnastics (all body weighted movements such as pushups, pullups, handstands, situps etc) and the traditional cardio disciplines (run, ride, row, skip & swim).
Workouts are performed for time, reps, or load with the strength of the program it's universal scalability that makes it perfect for any committed individual regardless of experience.
